What we collect
We only collect personal information that helps us deliver our community support services. This may include your name, contact details, and information about your circumstances that you choose to share when you ask for support, are referred to us, or take part in our programs.
How we use it
We use personal information to provide outreach, relief, referral and advocacy services; to follow up on support we've provided; to meet our reporting obligations as an ACNC-registered charity (in de-identified form wherever possible); and to respond to enquiries made through this website or by email.
Who we share it with
We do not sell or trade personal information. When we refer you to another service — such as health, housing or legal support — we share only what is needed, and only with your consent. We may disclose information where required by law.
How we keep it safe
Personal information is stored securely and accessed only by team members who need it to do their work. Conversations with our outreach team are treated as confidential.
This website
This website does not use advertising trackers and does not run third-party advertising. Standard web server logs (such as pages visited) may be collected by our hosting provider for security and performance purposes.
Access and corrections
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, at any time. You can also ask us to delete information where the law allows.
Questions or complaints
If you have a question about this policy or a concern about how your information has been handled, contact us at admin@capeyorkgrassroots.com.au or write to us at 184 Mulgrave Road, Cairns QLD 4870. We take privacy concerns seriously and will respond promptly.
